Youth Horse Camp
General Camp Information
The Kennedy Meadows Youth Horse Camps are for kids 10-15 years old who are interested in:
- horseback riding
- camping
- tent building
- dutch oven cooking
- campfire building
- emphasis on safety
- ...and much more in the wilderness!
At all the camps the riders are assigned their own horse for the week that they are in charge of taking care of. Every day consists of a different ride to a fun and beautiful location up one of the many trails in the Sierra Nevada mountains out of the Kennedy Meadows trailhead. There are also many challenges, games, and activities such as treasure hunts, rock climbing, and so much more to make for a fun and productive day! At the end of the camps there is an overnight stay at one of our various locations with different durations depending on which camp type it is.
